Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island West Morninghope School is a special education school or students with moderate to mild grade intellectual disabilities. The school places great emphasis on the individual learning and development of each student, and therefore designs appropriate curriculum based on their needs and abilities. There is one mild grade class and one moderate grade class in each level. Students will be placed in different classes according to their assessment results when they are enrolled into our school.
In addition, appropriate learning and training materials are designed based on the individual needs and learning progress, to ensure that each student receives maximum attention and support, and can maximise their potential. If necessary, the school will arrange students to transfer to a different group based on professional assessment recommendations to cater for their actual learning needs, so as to ensure that students receive the most appropriate learning experience.
Objectives
To uphold the spirit of the Hong Chi Association to support the intellectually disabled, our school is dedicated to promote whole-person education and to develop our students’ potentials. We hope that our students can have a balanced development in the aspects of moral, intellect, physical, social and aesthetics. The main objectives of our school curriculum are:
